About Climate Neutral Certification

Wherever you see the Climate Neutral Certified label, it means the company is accountable for its greenhouse gas emissions. To earn the label, a company must annually measure cradle-to-customer emissions, implement specific action plans to reduce emissions, and invest in high quality, verified carbon credits.

The certification requirements are detailed in the rigorous, peer-reviewed Climate Neutral Certified Standard. Each company’s application is reviewed for compliance by Change Climate’s certification team.

Our Sustainability Story Since our company inception, corporate responsibility has been an essential part of who we are, and our employees have embraced this commitment; but there's always more to do in our quest to reduce our environmental footprint and make a meaningful difference across the communities we serve. Being part of the industry for 7 years allowed us to meet partners and organizations that introduced new ways and opportunities to increase our impact and contribute to the environment in a positive way. Our Sustainability Goals 2021 Our goal is to ensure our environmental commitments become an integral part of our day-to-day activities, that we find ways to continually improve our environmental performance and operate in a responsible manner including reducing waste and reducing our carbon emissions. We developed a sustainability campaign called, 'B&P Unwrapped' as a platform for these initiatives and it operates on three levels. Here are ways we plan on practicing sustainability: 1. Working with Environmental Organizations As a 1% for the Planet member, we are committed to supporting its cause and of our partner environmental organizations. Our first 1% for the Planet partner is Save Philippine Seas, an organization that helps conserve the Philippines' coastal and marine resources through education, information, communication campaigns, and community-based initiatives. 2. Going Climate Neutral One of our environmental goals as a company is to offset our companies carbon emissions and achieve net-zero carbon emissions. We feel this is a very impactful way to counterbalance our carbon emissions by paying for offsets. However part of becoming a Climate Neutral certified brand, we continue to look for ways to reduce our overall emissions such as providing a permanent remote work and hybrid work setup for some of our employees and replacing conventional lighting sources in our offices to LED lighting. 3. Engaging our Tribe in a Culture of Sustainability Becoming a sustainable business doesn't happen overnight. To reap the benefits of sustainability, it also needs to be an intrinsic part of our company culture. Here are some ways we embed sustainable practices: Transitioning to Remote Work or Flexi Place Setup We allow most of our employees to work from home or a hybrid work setup. This will reduce our carbon emissions from the various transport services used in commutes. Moreover, it eliminates the travel time, giving our people additional time to spend with their families and hobbies. Reducing Single-use Plastic Materials We encourage our tribe to reduce the use of single-use plastic materials and replace them with reusable materials in or outside the office. Conserving Energy We help conserve energy by turning off the lights and unplugging equipment when not in use. To boost our efforts, we remind our tribe to always do the same even when they are outside the workplace. Using Sustainable Transportation We encourage our people to use sustainable transportation such as bikes, carpools, transit, and green vehicles as much as possible. Engaging in active communication about sustainability We continuously educate our tribe on important environmental issues, provide them opportunities to brainstorm, and encourage them to practice a sustainable lifestyle. We've always been passionate about creating a difference for the environment. We want to truly play our part in achieving a sustainable future. The Climate Neutral certification is just one of our major steps towards this goal. It will not only open doors to bigger and greater business opportunities for us, but will also help us create a significant impact on our people, communities, and the world. And those are what matter the most.
