## Sustainability story

Founded by PhD Medical Scientist and mom Dr. Dionne Baker, DeeBee’s Organics’ mission is to help families make ‘conscious’ snacking really fun. DeeBee's mission is to create consciously made treats that spark joy. From the fruit we source to the farmers we work with to the way we treat our staff, DeeBee’s believes that care and accountability in business creates meaningful impact. We are female-founded and led, always certified organic, and both a certified Women-Owned Business and a 'B-Corp'. As a certified ‘B’ corporation, the purpose of the business is not just profits but also social and environmental good.
2022 was our first year of measuring and offsetting our carbon emissions through Climate Neutral. Now that we have established a baseline of our emissions, we are excited to implement strategies to reduce our emissions and improve our environmental footprint further. This year, we invested in carbon offset projects that supported forest protection in the Amazon, sustainable fuel sources in Kenya, and improved forestry management and regenerative agriculture in the United States.

## Emissions (2023)

**Methodology:** DeeBee's Organics's emissions inventory uses a mix of spending and activity-based data. DeeBee's Organics attests to the accuracy of their data inputs and the Change Climate team reviews the submission for compliance with the Standard.

## Reduction plans

### Reduction action plans
- **Scope 3** — We will source materials locally to reduce emissions associated with transportation to our warehouses, improve procurement procedures to reduce inter-warehouse inventory transfers, and source products in bulk to utilize full truckloads. (source: Upstream shipping, target: Q4 2024, completion: 0%)
- **Scope 3** — We will expand our network of warehouses across North America and transport goods to warehouse via rail to reduce cross country truck shipments. Additionally, we will work with customers to encourage full truckload orders to optimize truck space. (source: Downstream shipping, target: Q4 2024, completion: 0%)
