INC Architecture & Design understands that innovative design is sustainable design, and our inherent responsibility. Led by five LEED-accredited partners, we’ve completed many LEED-certified projects and are developing some of the first WELL-certified projects in New York City. We maintain an open-source collective database of sustainable materials and furniture and are working toward operating our studio net zero. Inspired by the 14 Patterns of Biophilic Design, USGBC, and Well Building Institute, we aim to make sustainability and wellness a baseline for our industry. We see wellness as the “gateway drug” to an investment in sustainability: What’s good for the planet is good for the body, and what’s good for the body is good for the planet.
