## Sustainability story

Excess skincare isn't just a problem for people - it's also a problem for our planet. KraveBeauty wants to work with our community & industry to make changes & slow down skincare. We strive for continuous improvements in our packaging, such as increasing PCR content and recyclability, as well as responsible sourcing by ensuring our formulas are PETA-certified vegan & cruelty-free and working on ingredient traceability and sustainable sourcing. Recognizing we have a responsibility to give back, we are also a member of 1% for the Planet and are B-Corp Certified. With our CN certification, we are committing to measuring, offsetting, and reducing our carbon footprint, with hope that we can play a role in limiting global warming.

## Reduction plans

### Reduction action plans
- **Scope 3** — We plan to partially move our manufacturing to the US (from Korea) to decrease the distance from our manufacturing to our primary distribution centers and reduce transportation emissions. (source: Upstream shipping, target: Q3 2022, completion: 50%)
- **Scope 3** — We plan to reduce overall use of virgin plastic by reducing the weight or percentage of plastic use and incorporating post consumer material. (source: Raw materials, target: Q4 2022, completion: 100%)
- **Scope 3** — We will reduce our reliance on air freight by improving our demand planning and optimizing timelines. (source: Upstream shipping, target: Q4 2023, completion: 90%)
- **Scope 3** — We plan to reduce emissions from our purchased goods and services, specifically our ingredients used in our formulas. (source: Raw materials, target: Q4 2023, completion: 25%)
- **Scope 3** — Implement a low carbon sourcing/purchasing policy to increase the percentage of reusable, recyclable or recycled content across all our packaging in our product line. (source: Raw materials, target: Q2 2025, completion: 10%)
- **Scope 3** — Source raw materials closer to manufacturing to reduce miles traveled across the packaging and ingredient vendors within our supply chain. (source: Upstream shipping, target: Q2 2025, completion: 10%)
- **Scope 3** — Increase the percentage of reusable packaging (currently 0% of our portfolio, goal of at least 25% of portfolio). Make more of our packaging curbside recyclable by offering jumbo sizes / larger fills (increase from 20% of current portfolio to 40%). (source: Packaging, target: Q4 2025, completion: 25%)
- **Scope 3** — Reduce Deforestation in our supply chain by prioritizing non-palm-derived ingredients where possible, and finding the most sustainable / ethical palm sources where necessary (source: Raw materials, target: Q2 2026, completion: 10%)
- **Scope 3** — Invest in a regenerative organic farm to produce lower-carbon footprint raw materials for our products (source: Raw materials, target: 2027, completion: 0%)
- **Scope 3** — Transition 100% of glass packaging to Vivomer compostable packaging across Tamanu Oil and future projects (source: Packaging, target: 2027, completion: 0%)
