Wherever you see the Climate Neutral Certified label, it means the company is accountable for its greenhouse gas emissions. To earn the label, a company must annually measure cradle-to-customer emissions, implement specific action plans to reduce emissions, and invest in high quality, verified carbon credits.
The certification requirements are detailed in the rigorous, peer-reviewed Climate Neutral Certified Standard. Each company’s application is reviewed for compliance by Change Climate’s certification team.

Founded in Asheville, North Carolina in 2011, New Sprout Organic Farms’ intent was to grow top quality, professionally branded produce for regional retailers. From day one, we have been focused on the measurable positive impacts associated with growing and loading product within the region and not thousands of miles away. In 2022, we harvested over 450 semi-truckloads of organic produce and the results are compelling! Over 126,000 gallons of fuel saved compared to loading on the West Coast. That’s 3,311 Tons of Carbon Savings for those counting. The energy saved is enough to power about 500 households for an entire year! Together, New Sprout, our retailer customers and their consumers are supporting a more sustainable food system.
