We commit to reducing 2022 Scope 1 & 2 emissions 50% by 2030
Numi's goal is to activate a chain of positivity and possibility that radiates far and wide. This year, we took bold steps to create positive impact for each other and our planet. We continued to roll out our new plant-based, compostable tea bag wrapper?a project 10 years in the making. We found out that this new plant-based wrapper displaces consumption of 14.3 metric tonnes of virgin plastic annually! It also lowers greenhouse gas emissions by 67.25% compared to a conventional wrapper. Made from sustainably cultivated and renewable sugarcane and eucalyptus, it will help keep fossil fuels in the ground and bring us closer to a plastic-free future. Numi's carbon offsets are carefully considered, too. The offset project we support, Envira Amazonia, protects nearly 500,000 acres of tropical rainforest, while supporting livelihood diversification for local communities.
