## Sustainability story

When it comes to climate, ski companies are pretty good at hiding behind the 'cool' factor of skiing. In reality, producing skis and snowboards are incredibly detrimental to the environment in which they are used. We're excited to be the first ski company in the world to offset our carbon footprint ? but admitting we're part of the problem is only the first step.

## Emissions (2025)

**Methodology:** Renoun's inventory uses spending data to estimate GHG emissions. Renoun attests to the accuracy of their data inputs and the Change Climate Project team reviews the submission for compliance with the Standard.

## Reduction plans

### Science-aligned targets
- We commit to reducing 2023 Scope 1 & 2 emissions 50% by 2030 (completion: 0%)

### Reduction action plans
- **Scope 1** — Reduce emissions from use of company owned vehicle by replacing it with a more efficient alternative. (source: Vehicle fleet, target: Q1 2021, completion: 100%)
- **Scope 3** — Encourage employees to walk or bike to work to reduce employee commuting emissions. (source: Employee commuting, target: Q2 2021, completion: 100%)
- **Scope 3** — Reduce number of packages shipped by creating new packaging to allow bindings to be shipping with skis, instead of separately. (source: Downstream shipping, target: Q3 2021, completion: 100%)
- **Scope 3** — We plan to eliminate the use of plastic wrap on our skis. (source: Packaging, target: Q3 2022, completion: 70%)
- **Scope 3** — Reduce waste of sidewall material by swaping to poured sidewalls instead of glued. (source: Raw materials, target: Q2 2022, completion: 50%)
- **Scope 3** — Eliminate all use of Earhart 88 across our skis. (source: Raw materials, target: Q3 2023, completion: 100%)
- **Scope 3** — Implement a policy for remote work to reduce commuting by 10% for our Burlington based HQ. (source: Employee commuting, target: Q2 2023, completion: 85%)
- **Scope 3** — Transition from 20% ground shipping to Customer pickup across all customer orders. (source: Downstream shipping, target: Q1 2026, completion: 20%)
- **Scope 3** — Implement a policy to extend the lifespan of ski binding installation tools in warehouse facilities. (source: Capital expenditures, target: Q1 2026, completion: 100%)
- **Scope 3** — Implement incentives for customers to return packaging so that it can be reused multiple times (source: We are implementing reuse of packaging policy that incents customers to return boxes and the we will reuse at least 30% on future orders, target: 2026, completion: 0%)
