At Saltverk we believe in reducing our footprint in all that we do; from sourcing to our production process & location, even the places we sell & the transit routes we frequent. We use 100% geothermal energy during our production and much of our day-to-day energy use is from renewable sources. Part of our ethos is a commitment to zero waste where our major byproducts find new life in continued utilization. We’ve had opportunity to expand globally but until there are more sustainable shipping options, we choose to keep our sales close to home where our emissions are less. Instead of routing our US shipments through traditional ports & channels we ship the most direct path possible, at a premium, because it’s more sustainable.
