The first Stickbulb prototypes were made in 2012 from a pile of scrap wood destined for the landfill. This moment defined our philosophy of making more light with less waste. Since that day we have constructed our LED fixtures out of wood from sustainably managed forests and locally demolished buildings, including dismantled NYC water towers. Much of our innovation is invisible - making LCA-driven tweaks to our supply chain, piloting new and sustainable material sources, or investing in more power efficient sub-components.
