## Sustainability story

As a young wellness brand, our motto and purpose is DO GOOD BY DOING GOOD. We are committed to people and planet. As a responsible brand, sustainability is as important to us as success. We believe that businesses are powerful forces of good, and being one of the first tea and wellness brands in Asia to get a Climate Neutral certification in 2020 aligned to this belief.

## Reduction plans

### Science-aligned targets
- We commit to reducing 2021 Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions intensity per $M in revenue 30% by 2030. (completion: 60%)

### Reduction action plans
- **Scope 2** — Reduce consumption of electricity at Corporate HQ throughout the year (source: Electricity, target: Q1 2021, completion: 80%)
- **Scope 3** — Switch of recycled materials at Corporate HQ including staff canteen (source: Operational waste, target: Q1 2021, completion: 100%)
- **Scope 3** — Reduce use of plastics in our packing and packaging (source: Packaging, target: Q4 2021, completion: 100%)
- **Scope 3** — We have been using VALUE of purchased goods to measure till now. This year onward, we are recording QUANTITY of each of the purchased goods. This will enable us reduce our emission as the per kg. emission is expected to be lower than per US$. (source: Raw materials, target: Q1 2023, completion: 100%)
- **Scope 3** — We plan to reduce emissions from downstream shipping by shifting to sea shipments as much as possible by using better planning and forecasting tools. (source: Downstream shipping, target: Q1 2023, completion: 100%)
- **Scope 3** — We plan to reduce emissions from overseas business travel. (source: Business travel, target: Q1 2023, completion: 100%)
- **Scope 2** — Reduce electricity use at HQ (source: Electricity, target: Q4 2020, completion: 80%)
- **Scope 3** — Reduce waste generated from high-carbon materials at HQ (source: Operational waste, target: Q4 2021, completion: 100%)
- **Scope 3** — Reduce shipments made by air freight by using air-shipments only for emergency and high-value products. (source: Upstream shipping, target: Q4 2021, completion: 100%)
- **Scope 3** — Aim to reduce proportion of single-use plastic in total packing materials by 10% by replacing this with recycled/recyclable materials by the end fo 2024. (source: Packaging, target: Q2 2025, completion: 100%)
- **Scope 3** — Introduce more product SKUs in sustainabile formats like round filter-paper tea bags without strings and tags, packed in paper/cardboard cartons instead of pouches made with laminates. Our plan is to introduce about 25 such SKU by by the end of Q2 2025. (source: Packaging, target: Q2 2025, completion: 100%)
- **Scope 3** — Reduce employee commuting emissions by adopting an odd even policy of commute for all staff members so that not more than 12 percent of the cars currently coming to the office on a daily basis will commute into the office. (source: Employee commuting, target: Q4 2024, completion: 100%)
- **Scope 3** — We will optimize inventory levels from 10.5% to 6% of COGs to reduce disposal of goods. (source: Raw materials, target: Q4 2025, completion: 70%)
- **Scope 1** — Transition of DG Fuel Mix to PNG for Emission Reduction (source: Energy at offices or controlled facilities, target: 2026, completion: 0%)
- **Scope 3** — Transition to 100% Biodegradable Filter Paper in Teabags (source: Packaging, target: 2026, completion: 0%)
